Capstone IT
Capstone IT is helping our client to hire an Information Security Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring information security compliance across the client’s organization as well as initiating and implementing new policies and modernization of existing policies and security practices. This person will oversee daily cybersecurity operations and reports directly to the CISO.
Other responsibilities will include managing vendor relationships and compliance, developing and maintaining incident response plans and processes, and provide security awareness training to company employees that will foster a culture of information security awareness.
The ideal candidate will live in the Omaha Metropolitan area or be willing to relocate. Light travel may be required to affiliate locations throughout the United States.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of seven years of progressive, professional experience in the InfoSec field.
- Minimum of five years of leadership experience in healthcare IT preferred including understanding of HIPAA, data breach notifications, OMB’s Uniform Guidance, and other Federal regulatory requirements.
- Experience securing Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure is required.
- Experience managing adherence of security policies from outside vendors.
- Experience conducting internal investigations and supporting external audits.
- Experience with DLP, SIEM and other security tools.
- Demonstrated expertise to handle complex and ambiguous situations in a positive and collaborative manner.
- Demonstrated experience with leading and managing a diverse and multidisciplinary team including providing regular feedback and performance management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or similar discipline.
- CISSP or equivalent certification.
