Mechanical Project Manager 

Location:  REMOTE, must live within driving distance to Denver, CO

Salary:  $90K-$100K, plus bonus 

 

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer passionate about energy efficiency and sustainability. This role involves providing engineering, applications, and client support through coordination with clients and internal teams. Strong organizational skills and customer service orientation are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required.

Essential Job Functions: 

– Peer review of construction documents, generating RFIs, product review and comparison, control sequences, and operations support.

– Produce and review deliverables to ensure project accuracy, including pricing, shop drawings, material data, and product information.

– Ensure correct product application for intended use.

– Pre-construction and project management responsibilities.

– Manage multiple concurrent projects with timely deliverables.

– Demonstrate technical expertise to build credibility and trust.

– Support accounting with necessary project documentation.

– Attend customer meetings and job site visits as needed.

– Participate in local and remote training as required.

– Support clients and internal engineering with selection and pricing requests.

– Review and comment on project plans and specifications.

– Collaboratively design with vendors as necessary.

 

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

– Knowledge of HVAC systems, preferably with HVAC design experience.

– Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; consulting experience is a plus.

– Excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills.

– Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT/FE is a plus.

– Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, AutoCAD, and Outlook; energy modeling experience is a plus.

– Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for meetings and job site visits; mileage reimbursed at IRS rates.

 

Other Skills/Abilities:

– Strong desire for high-quality, detailed engineering work focused on energy efficiency and sustainability.

– Understanding of various HVAC system types, heat transfer, and psychrometrics.

– Ability to grasp new concepts and develop innovative strategies.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and team interactions.

– Proficient in basic mathematical operations and able to interpret graphs.
