Salary Range: $150,000–$175,000 + Annual Bonus Opportunity

Capstone IT is partnering with a leading insurance and financial services provider to hire a Senior AI Developer for a remote, direct-hire position based in Omaha, NE. This role is critical in leading the design, development, and deployment of AI and Generative AI (GenAI) applications as part of the organization’s enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.
The Senior AI Developer will manage AI/ML projects from concept to production, leveraging AWS cloud infrastructure, full-stack development, and MLOps best practices. This individual will collaborate with engineering and business teams to build scalable and secure solutions that integrate with both modern and legacy systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong experience in AWS, GenAI, CI/CD pipelines, and AI model optimization, who thrives in fast-paced and evolving environments.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of Generative AI and LLM-based applications aligned to business and operational needs.
- Build secure, scalable, and cost-optimized AWS infrastructure to support AI/ML workloads and enterprise applications.
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications, integrating with front-end, back-end, and legacy systems ensuring CI/CD pipeline reliability and system scalability.
- Oversee the full AI/ML lifecycle including experimentation, prompt engineering, data versioning, A/B testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Apply MLOps best practices to streamline development and deployment processes for AI models.
- Mentor engineers and data scientists, and lead agile solution delivery from prototype to production.
- Stay current with advancements in GenAI, cloud technologies, and ethical AI standards to inform solution design and innovation strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience developing full-stack applications in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience developing and integrating AI/ML models and MLOps pipelines into production systems.
- Proficient in Python, TypeScript, React or Flask, SQL, Git, and CI/CD tools.
- Strong experience with AWS services including SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, S3, and CDK (Cloud Development Kit).
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles and cloud-native architecture for secure, scalable development.
- Skilled in improving model performance using experimentation, A/B testing, and prompt engineering techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience in remote and agile team environments.
- Demonstrates adaptability, resilience, and high learning agility in dynamic technical landscapes.
Preferred:
- Master’s or advanced degree in a technical or analytical discipline.
- Familiarity with single- or multi-cloud agentic architectures for LLM-based applications.
- Experience building automated MLOps pipelines for training, monitoring, versioning, deployment, and scaling of models.
